Yleensä kun minulle kehutaan jotain paikkaa jossain päin maailmaa, niin suhtaudun siihen ainakin jonkin verran skeptisesti ja niin tälläkin kertaa, kun Ira Helsingissä kehui majoitusta Bubionissa MUTTA olin/mme tosi positiivisesti yllättyneitä sekä majapaikkaan että Bubioniin. Varsinkin yleiset tilat olivat tosi positiivinen asia ja paikan omistajan oli mukava.
Lippujen lunastus etukäteen Alhambraan sujui niin hyvin kuin vain voi. Varsinaisena käyntipäivänä kaikki sujui kuin rasvattu - taisimme päästä alueelle jopa ennen porttien avautumista. KIITOS kun hankitte liput ja annoitte niin hyvät ohjeet.
Eli teidän tekemänne järjestelyt pelasivat tosi hyvin ja majoitusta voi suositella - ilmastoinnin puutteen minusta korvasi ystävällinen emäntä ja joustava suhtautuminen matkailijoihin. "Tässä on keittiö - ottakaa itse aamupalaa ja nauttikaa mitä haluatte, kun lähdette niin varhain" Olisipa tällaista muuallakin....
Toivottavasti Ira osallistuu ensi vuoden Matkamessuihin. Olisi kiva keskustella hänen kanssaan - mitä hän tällä kertaa ehdottaisi meille.

I cannot tell you what an absolute incredible time we had in Andalucia and it was all thanks to you!!! Bradley and I both believe this was our best trip ever (and we have traveled a lot)! We just feel you put so much thought and planning into our trip we felt like royalty for a week! So to you, we send a million thanks for doing an outstanding job for us!
From the beginning, everything went very smooth, which really made the trip so much more enjoyable because it was worry free. All of the hotels were absolutely incredible! We couldn’t tell you our favorite because they were all so unique and the service in each was top of the line. The Bodega tour in Ronda was spectacular! It was so personalized and interesting.
The horseback riding in Vejer de la Frontera was completely above and beyond any expectation we could have possibly had! What an incredible experience! In summary, we feel the towns we visited were exactly what we were wishing for. They were the perfect sizes and we truly felt we got a taste of Andalucian life. The distance between the towns was very easy to drive. We felt we were able to take our time to explore the coast and the area while we traveled from town to town.
We truly cannot thank you enough for everything you did! I would highly recommend you to anyone wishing an unforgettable trip to your area! I am certain we will try to make it back to see the rest of Andalucia and we look forward to the opportunity to work with you again. You truly do an incredible job and you made our first anniversary simply perfect!

Hello Ira! We had a wonderful time, could not have been a better trip. It is always a bit of hesitancy doing business with someone met over the internet. The money is paid, but you are not 100% sure the service will be waiting for you upon arrival. With your service, though, everything was well organized and we had not a single problem. Not one missed reservation, unexpected charge, dissappointing hotel, or any other typical frustration. It was perhaps the smoothest touring vacation I have had.
When we got to the hotel in Madrid, the package with maps for the remainder of the trip was waiting. After 2 great days in Madrid, we picked up our car from Hertz nearby in the Plaza Espana and drove to Todelo, never even making a wrong turn. As Toledo is close, we were checked into the hotel and exploring the city in just a short time. We were always exited to get to the hotels, all were most interesting, excellent locations, and well kept. After Toledo we drove to Trujillo. We took our time and travelled by secondary roads seeing the countryside. The hotel in Trujillo seemed part of the castle, was our favorite of all. What a fantastic place, Fairytale land. We spent Lyndas birthday there, at a nice restraunt in the Plaza Mayor. While there we also took a road tour to Caceres and other detours to Alcantara. We then drove to Seville, which we loved. The area where the Hotel Amadaus was located was interesting to drive, for sure. That one took us 2 hours to find! But, we had a great time finding it. I finally just parked the car at where i just knew the hotel was but we still could not see it. A local was kind enough to point it out for us, then. The street it is on you cannot get a car down, it is more of a walking alleyway. Ah HA! Mystery solved. Should have gotten out and asked earlier. The Cathedral in Seville is most impressive. We also took our Tapas tour with David, which was big fun. We ended up staying out with him and a norweigan fellow named Gayor until quite late. Then, off to Portugal. Again, with our own car and an early start, we were able to take a drive through the Algave area of the south with a stop in Albufeira enroute to Lisboa. We dropped of the rental car and spent 2 days exploring all of Lisbon. They have nice tours you can take with stepon-stepoff busses which we found a great way to get oriented to the city. Then, sadly, after a huge meal of seafood Paella at a restaurant on the waterfront, it was up early and off for the airport.
We had a perfect vacation. Thank you. It was everything we had wanted. Very charming hotels in well placed locations. The public transportation systems in Madrid and Lisbon are excellent and fun, and driving our own car in between let us experience the Countryside, stopping whereever and whenever we saw something interesting. The roads are all in excellent condition, routes well marked. And, importantly, we never felt unsafe at anytime anywhere in our travels, and the people could not have been more helpful and freindly despite our horrible Spanish and zero Portugese!

Bodega Visit:
We joined a Spanish party for the tour, (our Castellano is of a sufficient level to understand a guided tour) but after only a short while Fernando, the head tour guide, found us and separated us from the main group, explaining that 'MoreThanSun' clients must receive special treatment and he took us on a more extensive and private tour of the Bodega. We sampled some lovely Sherries, although some were not just to Marie's taste, so I finished up drinking quite a few of her samples and my legs reminded me so, when it was time to leave. What a lovely, family run, Bodega it was too. WELL sign posted.
The Hotel:
The British, who read this, will understand what I mean about Dr.Who's 'Tardis'. The hotel was just another old (but splendid) Spanish frontage in any street but, 'WOW!' what a beautiful, beautiful place once inside the door. We can recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to see OLD Spain in the 21st Century. (I've never seen so many cleaning ladies looking after a place). The room was lovely and the bathroom huge and as far as Marie was concerned, it scored top points........it had a HAIR DRYER.
The Boat Trip to Doñana National Park:
We have to admit to going there once before, but the fact that the park was included in our trip again was the real 'MAGNET' for us. As a devout conservationist myself, La Doñana is almost a 'Mecca' and to have been there twice is a thrill. The boat trip was calm and relaxing, the weather was kind, and our guide (a young woman) was very well informed and spoke clear English. (Her Castellano was clear too, not Andaluz). I think that anyone who goes there will appreciate the WORLD importance of the park by the way the all the prohibitions are strictly enforced.

We made it back last night- just wanted to thank you and Anu again for all the arrangements - we enjoyed each hotel - the best one was the Posada del Peine - excellent location, quiet and great breakfast spread, although each hotel had a unique character and charm and all had very good service....

All your arrangements were great. Villa in Abalos and Jose were charming, and Merced's
meals were excellent.We had different breakfasts each day of our stay, and the dinners were outstanding. The tour of bodegas Vivanca and Puelles were very interesting. We learned a lot about Rioja wines. The Hotel Abando was in an excellent location. Countryside is quiet and lovely. Loved Barcelona, the Rambla, Gran Via, Guggenheim and Miro museums. We could have stayed there longer. So much to see. You did an excellent job, Ira, and made our vacation simple, and trouble-free. The maps and tour package information was extremely valuable.
All the hotels were great. We had some very good meals and I personally always miss the coffee which is so much better than the US. We will certainly recommend your services to our families and friends.Muchas gracias, mi amiga.
